Cladonia chlorophaea (Flörke ex Sommerf.) Spreng.
Type: Cladonia
Commonly found at the base of trees, rotting logs and stumps, on mossy banks and coastal dunes. It is considered to be a complex of species or chemotypes which are difficult to distinguish. The podetia expand smoothly to form a wide cup which may have marginal projections
