Hygrocybe helobia  (Arnolds) Bon

Garlic waxcap

A small, bright, orange to red waxcap with a scurfy cap. Found in poor grassland and occasionally on moorland. The crushed gills are said to smell of garlic. Usually, one of the first of the genus to appear in late summer but not common. Readily confused with H. miniata.
