Buellia stellulata (Taylor) Mudd
Type: Crustose
Pale grey, areolate thallus with broad dark prothallus. Immersed apothecia between the areoles. Common on siliceous rocks, largely maritime. Many inland records are thought to be misidentifications of Buellia aethalea
