Catillaria chalybaea (Borrer) A. Massal.

Type: Crustose

A widespread species of siliceous rocks. The shiny, black, sessile apothecia on a thin, grey, smooth thallus are distinctive. It is a variable species and the greenish-grey thallus can be quite ephemeral
